Jim is not sure about this hula hoop thing. Another great overnighter at Grizzly and a HOG event ... the Meet in the Middle run is one of the best HOG does. It started years ago when a few of us went up there ... and later we started meeting up with the Non-Ascent group ... some gay guys who were not allowed to climb McKinley. We enjoyed their company, and them ours. We never had long visits with each other, but always made sure we socialized a bit before retiring to our respective camps.

And what has happened to them? Don't know. Someone said they'd been 86'd from Grizzly, but don't know anything for sure about that. They've just disappeared, but are not forgotten. They were a fun group ... and added color to our already VERY colorful group. As if we needed more color!!! But it was interesting to visit with others, as always.
